Faithful to its tradition and attentive to the changes in education in human sciences and cultural heritage conservation, the École nationale des chartes has participated in the construction of the European Higher Education and Research Area since the Bologna Declaration of 1998. The mobility of graduate and undergraduate students was thus facilitated thanks to the implementation of diploma equivalences in the Bachelor’s-Master’s-PhD system.
In 2014, the École nationale des chartes renewed its Erasmus charter and thus fully participates in the Erasmus+ programme for the 2014-2020 period.
The School has some twenty European partners in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom. Beyond Europe’s borders, the Russian Federation, Canada and the United States also figure among the School’s key partners.
